Congratulations to the six Marana Unified School District teachers named winners of the $2500 Fiesta Bowl Wishes for Teachers Grant, allowing these teachers to enhance the classroom experience and offer more opportunities for student success.
The renewal of the existing override allows us to continue to offer full-day kindergarten, elementary and secondary school electives, access to counselors, and protect class sizes. The approved increase of approximately $5 million will be used for people, specifically to increase teacher and support staff salaries and wages.
A generous $33,000 donation from the Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene will help provide nutritious snacks to students identified as chronically hungry through the district’s Power Pack Program.

Estes Elementary, within the Marana Unified School District, is a preK-6 school offering the highest quality, inspiring and enriching education in a safe, nurturing, and award-winning learning environment.
Collaborative partnerships allow our school to leverage family, school, and community resources to remove barriers to learning and provide essentials to families in need.
The Arizona Department of Education has released A-F School Letter Grades scores based on data from the 2023-24 school year and Estes Elementary School received an B Letter Grade.
Licensed by the AZ Dept. of Health Services, and AZ Dept. of Economic Security approved, our school offers preschool with small/large group activities and enrichment learning activities that promote development in the arts and large motor skills.
In the Fall 2021 and in celebration of Estes Elementary’s 20th anniversary, Estes Elementary welcomed several female desert tortoises to the Estes family.
Estes is pleased to announce the achievement of Level 1 certification in Marzano High-Reliability Schools™. Level 1 certification means our school has created a “Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture,” which is the foundation for every level that follows.
